Do you mean wrong as in wrong for the environment, or wrong as in your chances of getting it stolen are higher than a normal car?
If you are speaking about the environment, the answer is no, as long as you keep it in tune. Tune her up every year, or better yet convert the engine over to fuel injection, and you'll get great gas mileage as well.
As for the car jacking issue, if that's what you are worried about I would suggest you look at the statistics in your local area regarding car thefts, car jackings, etc.

We have a '68 camaro, would it ever be a daily drive car??
NO WAY, NO HOW, NO,NO,NO
If you get it, you will have a SHOW car on your hands. Would you really consider driving it every day and letting it get scratches and what ever?? There are a lot of jealous people out there when they see a classic, and they wont hesitate to ram a shopping cart into the side, or slam their door open into it....

You own it, you do what you want with it...
If your work has a secure garage, all the better..
(State of the art 4 wheel disc brakes, abs, traction ctrl has it's benefits)
But I would not drive her in bad weather... (rain, snow, etc).
