It is important to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day for your health. I hate to tell you, but the dark circles are called allergic eyes. I know because I have them. I asked a doctor once if there is anything that can be done to avoid them he told me no. you can try hard and make sure you get the proper rest, but if they are allergic eyes some darkness will remain. Avoid things you are allergic to will help, if you know what they are. But undereye cover seems to be the only choice that really improves it. Some are better than others. just put a thin coating over them, too much looks worse than nothing. Sorry! Join the club

I have the same problem. It's NOT due to lack of sleep. I could sleep for 12 hours and still have the problem. Diet changes didn't work as I eat rather healthy as it is. I'm not sure about something you can take to make them go away, but Preparation H applied to them seems to work halfway decent. Not perfect but better than without! Don't get it in your eyes, though. People also suggest cucumbers but I like the ease of using a cream rather than trying to get vegetables to stay on your eyes!

My iron levels are very good. I just had them checked in my last CBC test at the doc's.

This may seem an overly simple answer but I noticed then when I wore mascara I started to get black circles under my eyes. Yes I removed my makeup properly and yes it was waterproof. The reason I noticed was that all my life I never wore mascara tried it a few times and noticed that I started getting rings around my eyes. Anyone further thoughts?? Maybe it was a cheap brand!

Water is actually good for the skin. There really isn't no medicine to get rid of dark circles, usually its just a gimick in order to get you to buy things. What you really need to do is get like 8 hours of sleep and gradually they will go away. You also use a regular potatoe. First you cut a piece that would cover the dark circles. But make sure you shape it right and don't get it in your eyes. Also make sure it that the potatoe is chilled. IT WORKS TRUST ME!

True story. I had dark circles under my eyes all of my life until my husband told me that lack of fiber in one's diet causes them. I began to eat a high fiber diet, and I swear to you they went away! He reads a lot of holistic medical books, and this did the trick for me. I will probably get some thumbs down and some giggles, but I don't care at all because I'm telling you the truth, and I wish you the best.

I heard that dark circles can mean your liver is under a bit of strain, so drinking lots of water would help and trying not to have any alchohol either or food that would make your body work harder than it should have to. eat lots of leafy green veges too, they're very cleansing.

It can be a sign of allergies, if you get the sniffles a lot you may have allergies, and it can make you have darkness under your eyes, another idea is to get more sleep, or put chilled cucumbers over your eyes.

What that person said is crap-drinking water helps remove the bags.
There isn't really much you can do for dark circles under your eyes-they are mostly genetic. But lack of sleep can also contribute to under eye bags. Try a highlighting concealer-it'll make your dark circles less noticable.
