They're still semi-problematic, if you move the console while a disc is in and spinning you'll ruin the disc and if you leave it running too long in a too hot/too enclosed of a space it will overheat. If you aren't a complete idiot though your Xbox should work fine (I'd still get a product replacement plan or an extended warranty). It's much better than when the power supplies were burning carpets and such.

Nothing is ever going to be problem free. But they worked a lot of the kinks out.
