The easiest thing to do... especially if you dont wanna open your comp. up is to A. go to the manufacturers web site and find your model and typically you can find that under the detailed specs on most support sites who care to give that info.

B. type the model of your computer (providing it's not a custom built job) into a search engine and ask what motherboard is in "your model number".

C. This is one of my favorites because its handy to have, go to www.belarc.com and download the advisor. Once you get it on your computer and let it scan. It will detect every piece of hardware and Identify it by manufacturer name, MAC, data rate, memory size, etc.
