the door in this old place doesn't stay closed unless you close it just right, so i'm usually in there with an audience of a couple cats and dogs staring at me.

Good question.
Honey, I'm just glad there's still ONE room in the entire friggin' house that I CAN escape to where a closed/locked door gives me some measure of privacy. They still knock on the door, but at least, given the nature of the room, they have to listen when I tell them to leave me alone. I gave up on the idea of leaving the bathroom door open when I was about 4.

I never, ever leave the door open.
I grew up in a family with five kids and one bathroom. The only privacy you ever got was in the bathroom. Not only did you close the door, but you locked it.
Closing the door is a habit that has stayed with me my whole life. Walk in on me and regret it...
I'd miss it if I couldn't keep the door closed, though.

Not just no but HECK NO! It's the only place I can get away from the hubby/toddler/doggies/kitties! And of course, the phone rings and DH (darling husband) brings it to the door to ask if I want to talk to them!!! HELLOOOOOOO! I'm on the toilet, 10 feet from the LOCKED door! NOOOOO! Take a bloody message!!!!
SHEESH!
And THAT is why I take a good book and lock myself in for 20 minutes. Just to have some peace and quiet!! LOL

Never leave the door open. Men don't want to see what you do in there cause sometimes we eat at that buffet!

I still leave it open when I use the one in the master bedroom, if I use the half bath I have to close it, sometimes its nice, it keeps the cats out

I don't miss it as I always leave it open, unless we have company. My fiance has seen me without anything on for nearly 18 months, so why stop now? lol
