Is downloading mp3 songs from LimeWire legal? thx

Yes, It is illegal.
Downloading Songs from anywhere other then the bands website is pritty much illegal.
Unless you are paying for them like itunes, and the way that works is Apple signs an agreement with the record company to use their songs on itunes for a fee.
Personally I don't like the hasle of giving out my credit card number so I just buy the CD and import it to my computer through iTunes then onto my PSP.

if there yours or a friends you've got no problem. if its a band (metalica I think it was) or something else, tread lightly because yes it is considered illegal unless you already have a copy you've payed for (the actual cd) as proof of purchase .
best thing you like the music make sure to get it legally like form itunes or zune marketplace.
As I've heard enough that it just better to buy from authentic site so you don't have to worry about the garbage files you may collect in your attempts to download off of p2p programs.

but who cares.
i download musics from Limewire.
Most of the time it workS. the otherS time i get some dude saying some stuff.
Don;'t download other stuff than music.

We did it for awhile and it was nice the only down fall of that is believe it or not lime wire and put viruses into ur computer it did mine. I finally got rid of it because it really slowed down my computer. U just have to be careful. We had no problem with it and we did if for over 1 year.
