Unkown spyware,virus on my PC?

I've seen my computer lately deleteing my bookmarks without me doing it, files deleteing themselves and out of no where when i left my computer for a while my broadband routers traffic light goes mental then stops then goes again, does this sound like a sort of virus or spyware and are their any shareware or freeware programs that i could to get rid of it?

You can only use one antivirus program or you will have serious conflict with your system. You can use three or four antispyware program without conflict. Here is a top list of free antispyware

Spybot S&D
Windows Defender
Ad Aware Se Personal

If you don't have any antispyware protection,use Windows Defender for
real time protection.

If you need a firewall,use ZoneAlarm Firewall free.It is good.I
tested against Norton(paid) and this is better.

Download Spyware Doctor(Trial version) and do a scan to see what is
on your PC and try to remove as many as possible with the free
antispyware i listed.Spyware Doctor WILL produce false positives
to encourage you to buy it but is not a rogue antispyware program.
Clean your PC as much as you can.And run Spyware Doctor's scan again.
If it detects 3 or less,you are clear.Those are false positives.

Go to www.ewido.com for free scan and removal.

Remember,just like antivirus,run only one antispyware's real time protection and
not both at the same time.

Better to be on safeside. You may be having a virus or spyware installed on your PC. You insatll a standard antivirus soft ware such as Norton, AVG , Avast ( free antivirus software and Ad-aware, Ewido ( free spyware removers). You can download free softwares at

i use spybot search and destroy for free and the adaware by lava soft for free and run the virus protection from my server for free and heres the thing shut down the internet while you run these otherwise the trojan will shut down your firewalls and also if its in the start up area its hard to find while the internet is running
