Horrible, creepy things...really sick out-there kinda stuff...
Ever read Clive Barker? He's the guy that wrote "The Hellbound Heart," which later became the movie "Hellraiser." (Although I actually enjoyed the movie more than the novella.)
But his "Books of Blood" series (six volumes) are some of the strangest, bloodiest and morbid stories I've ever read. He has an awesome way with words, and his stories are fairly original (not to mention creepy and more than a little unsettling...the kind of stuff that makes great horror fiction). His novel "The Damnation Game" is pretty good, too, but I recommend the "Books of Blood."
Some other really good horror novels are:
"Ghost Story" by Peter Straub
"Midnight Mass" & "The Keep" by F. Paul Wilson
"Pet Semetary" & "'Salem's Lot" by Stephen King
"Phantoms" by Dean Koontz
"The Hungry Moon" by Ramsey Campbell
"Black Creek Crossing" by John Saul
"The Amityville Horror" by Jay Anson
Hope that helps.

You mean more horrible and creepy than the stories you read about on this site?

Ahaa! . . . you are educated enough not to be superstitious. . . but yet you are.
A really sick man, eh! a man who can say solemnly:
"I have many times tried to become an insect. But I was not equal even to that. I swear, gentlemen, that to be too conscious is an illness--a real thorough-going illness"
You've got it for free on line just this minute. Enjoy. Here it is:

Roald Dahl writes some really wacky and sick stuff for adults.
Try "Switch *****" and "Kiss Kiss" to start... He's got a pile of wild short stories!
Or you can start here:

Those are two of my favourites!

if I look in the mirror everyday (which I don't like to do...I don't feel like paying for it when it breaks), I can only wonder if its a horror story when people look at my face! (lol)
