i already know how to connect with a USB, i'm just wondering if there's any other way to get the pics onto my puter

There would be a thin slot for the card, flash card. It's should be easy. There isn't many openings on a laptop and this would be slim/thin but has to be the EXACT size of the card used in the camera.

Most Laptops have a little slot where memory cards can fit in , check on the sides to see if there is any slots , but if you don't find a slot try to find a USB cable that will fit your camera and computer . If you do not have a program to hold your pictures try

Mine is a toshiba laptop and a poleroid camera. It has a cable to hook into camera and then into the laptop. The card stayes in the camera. Where are your instructions. Hope im not sounding dumb.

Well you can try looking around the laptop itself and see if you can find some rectangular slots with either these markings:
SD
MMC
CF
MS
If you find one with MS, it means memory stick and you can use ur sony memory stick in that slot.
Else you can search for your laptop documentation or the manufacturer's website for your laptop model and its ports.

well check to see if your laptop has a memory card slot reader or if you dont have that and have a add on memory card reader then check to see if there are any inscriptions like "SD" or "xD" or the sony "M" sign. if your sony memory card is a memory stick duo or pro duo then it should go in the sony logo"M" slot. if its an sd or xd it should go to the xd or sd.
