I actually attended RAW in Lafayette a few years back. It will be televised and you'll receive instructions to be very loud before the show goes live. You'll also get to see a few matches from some no-names trying to make it in the business. They will most likely be out of Ohio Valley Wrestling (a training ground for WWE) or even one or two local wrestlers. I actually got to see Rosie and Jamal before they were Rosie and Jamal. You'll also get to see some second-tier stars and has-beens in a couple of matches.

Things will be very expensive. T-shirts, caps, posters, etc. are all very overpriced.

As far as the show being boring when you're there live, that's completely wrong. The show I went to actually started thirty minutes late (the dark matches, not the live show). To make up for it, after the cameras went off, Stone Cold Steve Austin (at the peak of his career) hung around after the show for thirty minutes and drank beer and jumped into the crowd. He flipped folks off and even gave Triple-H a second stunner off camera. You'll have a blast if you're a real fan of WWE.

Yes, it will be televised(live). The first thing you'll probably see a "dark match"(non televised, or a Heat match). Right before the show starts, they will inform you that there will be VERY LOUD pyrotechnics, and as soon as the titantron starts, to hold up your signs and scream your heads off. Between matches on commercial brakes, they may either use the t-shirt cannon, or they will have "kiss cam". After that, you'll need to keep up with what happens in the next few weeks on RAW to know what else you'll see.

If it's you're first time going it might be a tad boring because you don't hear the commentary and the commercial breaks can kill the crowd by the end of the night because nothing goes on in between then. But I've been to the 2 they had here in Montreal and I still had fun and I hope you have fun.
P.S: Bring your own camera because they sell disposable ones at the merchandise stands. They sold them here for $25.
