It really depends on how much music you have or think you'll have. Don't get a Nano if you have more music than will fit on it. Don't get a video if you have no where near enough music to fill it.

It depends on what you're going to use it for. If you're looking for something handy that can fit in a purse or pocket, get an iPod nano. But if you want lots of songs, go for the iPod (what you called video - its just called a 5th generation). It depends how much music you want on it. I find that the iPod is sort of bulky and heavy, but good if you don't have a laptop that you can bring on vacations. Also, if you want to play more games and movies on it, only the 5th generation iPod will do (the nano comes with some games, but the regular iPod can download games including PacMan from the iTunes music store for $5.99CAN). See the iTunes music store for all 9 games. And the nano looks pretty cool!! I have a nano myself and I find it very handy, and I know someone who has a iPod 5th. He is a cpu whiz and needs all the space, so its pretty good for him. They're a lot more expensive, though, so if you're not too serious, don't waste your money!
And by the way, flightattendantman, they both hold pictures, even the nano!

Depends on how much music you have. The ipod video can hold alot more then a nano but then again a nano is good for someone that works out because of its size. and to be honest the video on the ipod is actually really good quality.

For Christmas I am getting a black IPod Nano because I absolutely love music. If you are more of a video person, I reccomend video IPod, but if you like music more like me then I'd say Nano. Have a very merry Christmas!

Depends on how much music you have and whether you would want to be able to watch videos. If you have a lot of music (4-5 gb+) and would like to be able to watch movies go with the ipod video. If you dont have that much music and dont care about movies, go with the ipod nano.

if I were you I get the the ipod nano because your always gonna be on the go and your never gonna have free time to watch the videos on the ipod if your busy. anyways the main reason why they invented the ipod was for the music not the videos.

It really depends on what your needs and wants are. If you want a really small, versatile mp3 player, than the IPOD nano is for you. The only thing is, you can't store as much songs and the screen is smaller. If you want a larger screen, nicer graphics, video, and more songs I would go for the IPOD video. I have a black IPOD video and I love it! It's great!

U should get an ipod nano cuz it's 1. not as expensive- the nano is around 150 and the video is around 250. 2. It's smaller and more portable to fit in ur front jean pocket or ur pocket.

It depends on what your looking for. If your not looking for lot of extras and just want a dependable MP3 player, then go with the nano. The IPod video is much larger, but it can play video, which means it can not only be a MP3 player, but you can also watch your favorite movies on it.

Nano if you mainly listen to music, and a 30 or 60 gig Ipod if you like video and music equally on your player.
