The number of electrons in a given suborbital (s,p, d and f) is the same regardless of the first quantum number (1, 2....5, 6). s can have 2, p can have 6, d can have 10 and f can have 14. This means that there could be 6 electrons in the 5p orbital.

orbital d can have 10 e
orbital f can have 14 e
