You are at a good weight for your height. In addition, at your age you may have one more growth spurt, and your weight is there for that.
If you are afraid to tell your mom, then you already know she thinks you do not need to take off weight.
Continue to eat healthy foods and avoid junk food. If you deprive yourself now, you will pay dearly later.
Each day look in the mirror and say, "my life has meaning." or some other affirmation.
You body will continue to change a lot. In time, it will not be the hot thing that arouses men, but guess what? I am 55 years old, 5'4" and 145 pounds and men are still chasing me!
I am smart and creative and motivated, among other things. This is what attracts men to me at this stage of life.

If you are really serious about losing weight I wouldn't go below 8lbs, because that is unhealthy even if you are 5'. You are the average weight of a typical teenager of your height. Your weight will stabilize in a year or so after your period...its just the hormones right now.

you are not overweight. and you are not full grown. unless you are overweight it is dangerous to lose weight while you are still growing. it can stunt your growth as well as many other harmful things. wait until you are done maturing before you decide that you weigh too much for your body. in the meantime, eat healthy and regularly exercise without the point being to lose weight. what you want is a healthy body, not a skinny body.

Are you really over weight or is this your perception? You have to talk with her straight up - walk right in and express your thoughts and feelings, but try to do it in a calm but firm manner. Mom, will you help me? At least discuss it.

I always communicated better with my Mom if I wrote her a "note" and put my feelings on paper. That was the best approach with her.

If you are 118lb you are healthy. If you want to be in shape join a sport at school like softball, or volleyball it would keep you fit and tone your body

im like 2 kg heavier than you im 13, i see your point but i wouldnt tell your mum just do it if you really see it as necasary. & by god if you think your fat you need a good punch in the head...
