Is Dexter on Showtime one time series or will there be a second season?

It's coming back. You can tell they didn't have much confidence in the show by how they wrapped the first season. They wouldn't give it a cliffhanger in case they weren't coming back. It'll be interesting to see what happens next season. Rita now has doubts in her mind, an the black guy is suspicious of Dexter. It looks great in Hi-Def.

They definately renewed it.
Unfortunately, my family didn't renew Showtime, so I've been Dexter-less for a good two or three weeks. Here's hoping it comes out on DVD soon! That show is FANTASTIC!

they are advertising a new season, say "next year." so it will probally be fall, late summer at the earliest.
