yes it does. It also will not clog pores or cause acne.

Yes, vaseline does remove makeup. I use it to remove eye makeup because its gentle on the skin. After you use it though, wipe it off gently with toilet paper and the wash your face off with water and pat dry the area you used vaseline on so your skin doesn't appear shiny and oily. It works really well, better than any other eye makeup remover I've tried.
Hope I helped,
Annie

In a gross way, yes it does. But I imagine gasoline would take eye makeup off as well!
Try something that will minimize rubbing, unlike thick nasty vasoline which will not come off easily and may interfere with your vision temporarily.
If you are looking for something cheap and you don't have any money to buy a bonafide eye make up remover product, try removing your makeup with a face lotion. The lotion should be used cautiously in the eye area of course-it won't feel pretty if you get an eye full.
But it is gentle and designed for the face at least!

Vaseline is an emollient that can clog pores! Try Ponds deep cleanser and makeup remover. It makes the best list. See this source for why. http://www.beautyqa.com/

limit this to sensitive areas only like your eye region - when removing water-proof mascara, eyeliner or concealer and other eye make-up.
Vaseline is too oily for everywhere else, expecially in your T-Zone area. Too much of a good thing is usually bad.. DO cleanse your face thorougly after that, or you may experience acne breakouts from all the clogged pores.

YES!! It works wonnnnders.
I use it to take of mascara- after the shower when I have racoon eyes.
It works wonders.
You just have to use a tissue to get all the vaseline off afterwards!
Plus it makes your skin soft!

I have never used all over my face, but I use it to remove mascara/eyeliner and then just wipe it off with tissue. It works very well. I use my regular face cleanser after I do this.

Ummm...no haven't heard that one. I would think it's doing more harm to your skin- clogging pores and what not- rather then helping by removing your makeup. They make makeup remover- go to a local dept. store and find some next to the makeup aisle probably. good luck
