I think I might be bi....I did not choose this. It progressed in stages, and then I realized that I was attracted towards guys...
So homosexuality is not acceptable by God. But why did he make me like this if its not accepted? and technically if i were to act out on it, then its sinnning. I just don't get it!

But then again I doubt I would ever find any other guy who's bi at my school....it seems like everyone is straight...
but seriously, i really do think this is wrong because my whole family is homophobic, and i've always been raised that its not right. it just seems to hard to ignore it

First off, stop hating what God made. Yes, its mentioned in the Bible, so what? Look at the relationship of Johnathon and David and tell me that wasn't true love. Johnathon even gave up the throne so David could have it after his father died. Tell me that's not love. What God detests about homosexuality is the fact that it prohibits procreation, not that it is against nature. As a bisexual, you have no problems in this field.
If you do research on the story of Sodom and Gomorrah, you will find the story has to do with the improper treatment of guests, rather than any sexual deviance's. At this time (and even still today) many desert nomadic tribes took in any wandering strangers to keep them safe and alive. They did this for one reason, WHAT IF it were their kinsman, their parents that were lost in the sands and found by a fellow tribe? Would they not want their family treated like lost relations? Of course they would and the way they ensured this was to take care of anyone who THEY FOUND. This was a SACRED tradition, to care for someone in your trust was an honor and not to be taken lightly. This is why Lot offered his own virgin daughters, because of the seriousness with which he took his duties as host. It was NOT that he didn't love his daughters, of course he did! But, a sacred honor is just that, sacred. Please, do your own research on this to find the truth! The sexual aspect was always the "scandalous" part of the tale and got the attention of all the prudes, however that's not the entire story by any long shot.

A long time ago--the dark ages--people made up things about what was, to them, right and wrong. For stuff they thought was wrong, they said that it was a sin, even though god put it there on earth or in people. Believe it or not, but people used to believe that women were evil, and that if men didn't control them right, they could turn into witches. This is how women have had less rights than men.
As for homosexuality, you are right. god made you like this, and don't you listen to other people who tell you that it is a sin or whatever.
As for every other guy being straight--you might just think that, because they are probably just like you--afraid to tell anyone in fear of being accused of sinning.

Nobody chooses to be bisexual or gay. The idea that God does not accept homosexuals is only one interpretation of a book written many centuries ago. If you are attracted to a guy, God will love you for showing your love towards someone else. In most people's mind, God loves the people who show caring towards others.

I share your feelings about God and homosexuality. I too did not have a choice in becoming gay. It came out naturally. However Christian Churches would literally quote passages in the Bible and tell you it is the word of God. In the Bible there is no clear condemnation of gays as a person. It only forbids the ACT of a man having sex with another man, likewise with women to women. In fact the American Catholic Bishops recently acknowledged that it is the sexual act that is forbideen and not being gay itself. With this compromise, the American Catholic Church will now accept gay people as long as they remain celibate or would not have sex with the same sex. I hope I am not confusing you more. Anyway if you need more info just clicking on my avatar and send me a message.

Ugh this homosexual and God thing has got to stop. If you're so damn worried about what God will think then just kill yourself now and be in heaven so you won't have to be confused. God didn't make you gay, God didn't make anyone gay or straight. Actually, depending on beliefs, God may not exist to many. As for your schoolmates, they just hide their sexuality well. Live your life. Don't worry about death till you've reached it.

God does not accept the acts of homosexuality, but he does not accept sin of any nature. Sin is sin.....color it what you will. No human is capable of not sinning no matter how hard you try. There was only one perfect man, and they hung him on a tree. He died to cover your sins and the sins of the world.....the human race. He was the only one able to not sin because he was God in the flesh. It was his reconciliation for us to him. Your choice is to accept him as your personal savior, and ask him to help you, sincerely put it in his hands and he will give you the strength to avoid this pit fall or he will forgive you if you ask when you fall short of perfect. God is the only one who judges and he does not do that until you die. If you are right with him the rest will fall into place. It is only a trial for you. We all have them according usually to our weakness. So you are by no means alone. God knows your heart and truly you can tell him anything. When you are broken and there is no place to go seek him, and you will find more than you imagined possible. I know I've been there.

Please ignore the people telling you that God hates you because you're gay. They're brainwashed, or clueless, or insecure, or any combination of the three.
God left homosexuality in the cards for a reason.
If you come out to a friend, and lose their friendship, they weren't a real friend to begin with. Just don't start with anyone who reads the bible with any kind of frequency. :P

Makes ya question everything you think you know when you discover sexuality and you are bi or gay... Soon after challenging all your beliefs about God and what you think he accepts, you will eventually and hopefully learn to be OK with yourself as Bi or Gay.

here's the deal...we are so much alike it's not even funny. i was raised southern baptist and you can imagine the general opinion expressed over our dinner table. i went to church. gave devotions every week at my school. sang in the church choir. dated guys during my teenage years. i fought to hide my true feelings for years--even got engaged to a man!!! in the end, i lost out. i wasted several good years of my life living for my family, god, and society. it's your life...love whom you will.
assuming you are speaking of christianity and the teachings of the bible. let me plant this thought into your head:
1. it's one book
2. written by men
3. very old
4. only twice spoke of homosexuality in leviticus (debatable if you ask me) it says something about not laying with mankind as womankind. trust me as a lesbian who has had straight experience, i don't lay with men as i do women!!
5. the central figure of christianity, Jesus Christ, never once spoke about this. as a matter of fact spoke very little about proper and improper relationships at all! (other than fidelity. spoke frequently about fidelity. apparantly wasn't to important to him)
if you want to talk about this further do not hesitate to email me: luvinlife2000@yahoo.com
