the best thing you can do is o to Sears and find the manager of the maintenence dept and/or the store. tell them the situation. Sears has stores all over the country and there are all kinds of ways that they can get parts overnight. There is no reason why it should take longer than a week at most to get the part and replace it. The reason they are taking their time is because it is warranty. They are not making any money on this job. If the stove was out of warrqanty then they would be all over it trying to get you up and running because they are going to be making money on the labor and parts they need to do the job. this is a new day and ae and the service just isn't there like the good old days when people and companies cared about their customers.

Sometimes a situation is almost obvious to a repairman and it looks like something he has seen thousands of times over ... so he orders that part but this time it is something different because appliances can be tricky if the suspected cause turns out not to be the problem. Sears probably doesn't care about your timing really. So I think the man shouldn't be blamed for thinking he knew what it was, they should be blamed for not coming back promptly after they screwed up the first time! Personally I would mess with it myself but I am an electrician and might be able to solve it but nothing I could tell you over the phone. I say to you ... ***** as loud as you can and threaten to call the news, whatever you have to do to get them back to your house!

have you checked the owners manual? have you called the 1-800 # listed in it? they might be able to talk you through it over the phone. you might find out if they are having a problem with that oven over the phone. some of the newest appliances are sooo smart they don't work or tell you something is wrong. my sister bought a maytag dryer that won't run if it thinks the power is too low in her neighborhood. call another appliance repair company, even if it is a sears kenmore oven. try a small local guy, he needs your business. good luck, happy holidays.

First, chill and take a breath. Is the automatic cook feature ON? That is the timed bake? I did not realize that my Kenmore had the timed cook feature and I went through a big headache. Check the directions on that, I did not know that the knob was turned to timed bake.

I would call sears back and ask them to replace the stove or give me a refund.Ask to talk to a manager if that doesn't work ask for the number of there manager.

Call you local TV station. A lot of them have a "Problem Solver" reporter that goes to the business or agency to see why the consumer can't get the problem solved. they are very very effective. Let's face it who wants their business to get a negative report on TV? Very bad publicity and not good for their reputation and business.

You can also tell them you will report them to the Better Business Bureau and Consumer Affairs.
