We know he is stronger than Orochimaru, but Sandaime in his prime was stronger than Orochimaru. In a battle of 4-tailed Naruto vs Sandaime prime who do you think would win?

Um... Is hard... Both are incredibly strong. No one knows who will win unless they really had a battle.

Are you referring to
Sandaime Hokage,
Sandaime Kazekage,
Sandaime Mizukage,
Sandaime Raikage,
Sandaime Kumogakure, or
Sandaime Tsuchikage???
Naruto in his 4-tailed form is way stronger than any of them.
However, like Mitsui C said, hokage is no stupid...same goes for any sandaime kage..they're no stupid. They all know how to perform a seal similar to that jiraiya taught kakashi called the SUBDUE SEAL which is designed to suppress the effects of the demon fox's chakra or any chakra of any tailed beast for that matter. Another is the Five Elements Seal which is very common among jonin or kage ninjas...this seal can be used to used to strengthen the original seal on the demon fox (or any sealed tailed beast). Also there are other seals that can be used by any kage in case the kyuubi escapes from naruto like the Eight Trigrams Seal, Four Symbols Seal, or the Three Directions Seal.

o.O Sandaime wouldn't really be able to win. Naruto in 4-tailed form has increased regeneration, a chakra shield(which also injures him at the same time), and can shoot balls of chakra from his mouth. Unless Naruto dies from the burning and repairing of his lost tissue, Sandaime would lose.

hmm that's a tough question..lol..Naruto could be stronger than Sandaime (in his prime) if Naruto turns into his 4 tailed form. But Sandaime is no stupid hokage, he can trick naruto and kick his as*.

Are we talking about the Sandaime Hokage (Sarutobi)? No. he would not beat Kyubi Naruto (A Biju and Jinchūriki). And The Kyubi is Nine-Talied, not Four-Tailed (that's unknown at the moment).

sandaime would, you'll be surprised when they suddenly come up with crazy jutsu to counter naruto. just look at orochimaru. the bastard just keeps on coming back.

orihimaru is stronger than naruto by far.....but sasuke beats naruto when naruto is ninetails and orochimaru kills the third hokage or sandaime

This is a rpoblem when you only get the TV show and the manga is miles ahead. I cannot give an answer as I know not who this person is, so it would be speculation at best
