It is getting ridiculous. The ads are too annoying to watch so I turn down the volume. Football telecasts are too annoying so I turn down the volume. Any time a ballgame is on, it is pleasantly quite in this house.

I have felt this way for a long time (not about Mellencamp but about the obscene number of ads). What makes even less sense is that if I want to be able to watch the games I want to see, rather than be limited by my region market, I am required to subscribe to either dish network or direct tv, and then pay for the not-so-cheap NFL Sunday Ticket. After all that, I still have to endure 30 minutes of ads out of every hour of programming. Ugh.

You ought to try living where i live they hardly even show any football games if it wasn't for fox we wouldn't get to see any and i rarley get to see my favorite team the steelers they show paid programming and russian ice skating and crap like that where i live so you should feel lucky at least you get to see some but i know what you mean about the commercials they do get annoying alot of times during game time they show a local fishing show so i am praying that i get to see the game next week if not i am moving back to pgh so i'll never miss another game due to redneck programming
