You pretty much covered it with babysitting, chores, and yard work and the like. And actually, you could get a paper route, which isn't selling newspapers but delivering them, which would be much easier. Here are some other ideas:

--Dog walking/pet sitting
--Car washing (wash your neighbors' cars on a regular basis, maybe offer to even clean the inside and vacuum)
--House cleaning service (again, go to the people in your neighborhood first).

As an 11-year old, I would strongly consider any of the above options, or think of something unique that you can sell around your neighborhood.

Since you are still too young to work legally, you're best bet is to get paid doing odd jobs like some of what you've discussed above. You can start a business through your parents selling simple crafts or even through your parents sell on eBay. Sadly, there isn't much you can do at your age until you're 14 or 15. Having a small business on side doing stuff you cannot do for yourself until you're 18. Why 18? At 18, you can legally commit to a contract. Legally at your age, you cannot be held to a contract.

My advice is to do what you already know. Then, open a savings account. Ask your parents for advice on money. It's really important to learn how to manage your money at an early age because it's set the stage for later in life. The better you manage your money the more money you will likely have.

Good luck!

best i know are for winters, snow shoveling. My friends and I charge like 40-60 dollars so we get like $400 at the end of the day. In the summer, mowing lawns would be good. I have heard of this guy who did basically that in his free time and soon was getting 3000 dollars a day! But that is all hard work. So you basically need determination and money to start it off.

friends would help

Hey there!! Congratulations for coming up with some great ideas for earning money!!! Pretty much, all what you have named up are great ideas!! Now, the most important thing as to earn money is to SAVE it. I tell you a great idea. Say for instance, let's say that you earned approximately $60 dollars for earning lawns. For that, try to save much of it as you can. If I was you, try to mutliply whatever you earned total, with the percentage of 75%. Of course, if you mutliply that by $60 dollars, you have $45 dollars!! With that amount, you can put it in your piggy bank, etc!! Now with that $15 dollars, you can do whatever you wish with it (like to buy a magazine, snacks, whatever). Now, if you want, you can talk to your parents about opening a bank account!! It's pretty easy and I'm pretty sure that the bank would have a bank account for kids your age! Ask them how much interest would your account earn since you are investing your money with them! That interest also help builds the amount you have, and that also increases even more!!
Let more know should you have any more questions!! Good luck and take care!

First, at age 11, i am pretty sure that you cannot babysit. It is illegal.

I would recommend simply doing household work as you mentioned above. You can't do much else at that age.

Collecting change from ne ware. Clean out your moms purse full of change or from the washer and dryer get a bin and fill it with change from there. Eventually you'll have hundreds of dollars, it only took me 2 months to get over 200 dollars from it. Remember every penny counts!!!
