does your world have boundaries?

Jean-Jacques Rosseau once wrote:

"Man is born free, But he is everywhere in chains."

My interpretation of this is that the chains are self-inflicted.
We are bound by our own restrictions.
We are our own dictators.
Sort of like we've set a guideline for ourselves.
You know how in a child's colouring book, there are lines and it's kinda wierd if you draw outside the lines?
Well i believe that we have created our own lines and most of us don't have the courage to draw outside the lines.

We're so attached to a certain ideal or... something. It's like we're so comfortable in what we know that we refuse to step outside and look 'beyond'.

All i know is that my world has boundaries that have been set by me and me alone.

And as much as i hate them, i find it so difficult to change.

I have settled for the comfort of what i know.

But i'm working on it.

Yes, probably more than most at my age (20's). Most of those boundaries I've placed upon myself due to upbringing and spiritual reasons.

Oh yes. How far I let you in my business is up to me. I don't have to be around behaviors that are unacceptable to me. I know where I end and you begin.

very restrictive ones. I was not allowed to go the movies tonight for example.
