Which country in Europe is like the U.S.A in America? more modern and developed than the others .?

Examples: America has impressive hospitals ..... for some Latin americans these hospitals are like a dream come true...... or the highways for example, no other country in america has the same modern infrastructure of highways like the USA/...... or for example Airports, stores, malls, showrooms, theme parks, etc ....... The country that when you visit it you say : This country is more developed and modern than the rest in europe, it's the USA of Europe!everything's bigger and more modern ! in general. it's for an essay on the topic: Euope Today.

It's hard to tell, unlike America, Europe has more natural beauty and extravagance. Maybe in the cities, they can be compared to those of America.

For me, I think, the country that comes close with America is England(UK). Well, it has its own Times Square.

I think UGGs pretty much stated the main reasons why from a negative standpoint while someone else above me stated some positive things that the country has done. I think part of why so many countries hate America is because of the general stereotype of the nation. And America has done a lot to help out other countries but people tend to focus on the negative aspects of these situations so they can't see the good sides. I've lived in other countries before and I couldn't help but notice that race wasn't a big deal in places such as France, England, and Canada.

I've just returned from 10 months in Madrid Spain, and we visited the UK, France, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, and all of these countries have highways, airports, malls, and are developed and modern. The European Union today has joined together and improved their economies and standards of living for all the members. You need to do research on the EU and make those findings your essay on Europe Today. Comparing the US to any one of these countries is foolish, as the US has millions more people paying taxes. It's like comparing the Atlantic ocean to the Mediterranean Sea. They both have salt water, but the scale is so different.

It's a tough question really. Unlike over here in the US where there is no real competition for the shining star, Europe is much closer and all the countries in the western part of Europe are all very developed. If you are going on a purely economic standpoint I would have to go with either Germany or the UK (London has now generally replaced New York as the economic capital of the world). However, you can't forget that a lot of Europe is also socialist, which for many Americans is a desirable quality (myself included) many countries stand out as socialist but there is definitely a shining star which is Sweden. There is also a huge beauty aspect. Most people would put France near the top of that list but I say that either Ireland, Germany or Austria top it out. Hope this was helpful.

I've been lucky enough to travel throughout most of Europe over the past twenty some odd years, and I'd have to say the closest nation to the USA in Europe, in terms of infrastructure and so forth, would most likely be the UK, and moreso England. Even moreso southern England.

Minus the accents and historical landmarks, London strikes me as more or less a typical North American city, sort of like Vancouver, Chicago or the like. It's perhaps the most culturally diverse city in Europe, maybe the closest to the "American standard" in that regard.

On the continent, I'd have to say a city like Berlin or Vienna would be the closest comparison. Vienna is sort of like Chicago in some aspects, with the spendy nature of Manhatten.

Most hospitals are OK in western & central Europe. Some hospitals in southern and eastern Europe have...some improvements to do.

I would say, for the most part, North America (the USA & Canada) are probably, on the average, more developed than most of Europe. But this does not mean the Europeans are bad, or "backwards". They've had a much rougher century behind them than we have, and they're still deciding their path in the world. And they look at life a little different than we (Americans) do. Sometimes for the worse, sometimes for the better.

The countries that are more developed than US on most of the issues you mentioned (if you leave out ultra large parks and malls, who likes them) are, Switzerland, Holland and Denmark, about the level of US Sweden, Germany, Norway, Austria, Finland. A slight lower England, France, Italy, Spain and rest a bit lower.

You also have to remember that in first eight countries mentioned everybody is allowed to impressive hospitals, without private health insurance. Will that ever happen in the US?

as for Europe, nort is generally more devoloped then the south, west is more developed than east but the divide is nowhere near as from US or Canada to any South/Central American country

uh wait a sec, there, skippy. in canada we have better hospitals and you don't have to go bankrupt when you get sick. our highways are way better than the interstates, in construction AND maintenance. plus human rights are respected here.

they can have the better malls and themeparks (and churches and torture cells).

as for the equivalent in europe? there isn't really a single dominant country the way the US is dominant, but in terms of modernization look to the north in general.
