What I mean is bands, that can relate to peoples problems etc. One band I know is Cold, Scooter and the guys just know how to reach out to people with their songs and music. It really helps alot, when you're sad or lonely. Scooter had a messed up child hood, so I know he's someone alot of people can relate to. I heard the story about a song off of their album "A different kind of pain" about how a girl who emailed him one day said her mom was a drunk, and her dad hit her. He asked if he could do anything, and she said no, cause all they would do is lie to the police, so he promised her he'd write a song for her..I think the song on the album is wasted years?. Could anyone think of more bands that have really good messages in their songs that people can relate to with such things like that girl, and etc.

when i was an angry teen i was obsessed with koRn.

Im grown up now and relate to bands that are more avante garde like Cafe Tacuba. I guess it depends as to which generation which you belong . I know some people who say they really related to the Doors, or to Pink Floyd, or to Bon Jovi . So I guess if your a teen now you relate to bands that are popular now.

Alanis Morissette always cheered me up when I was down. She's also not that bad for blasting real loud while cruising down a highway with your best friends.

The band Staind has helped me alot. Especially their album "Breaking The Cycle". I dunno if I would say it would only help teens though.
