Right now, I work an average of 5 OT hours a week, and now they want to change me over to salary without a pay increase or nothing bacially, continuing working 10 hour days but get paid for 8

Presumably as a salaried worker, you'll be eligible for benefits, and paid vacations and holidays, so the difference should balance out. If you are confident in your productivity, you are certainly within your rights to ask for a raise. Keep in mind, however, that if the company is determined to make the switch, and you are not interested in the position, they can find someone else who is.

Don't do it. Demand at least 15% raise to cover your hours . also make the make you a manager. You were hired as an hourly person So you have to agree to becoming salaried. they cannot force this on you..Call the local Labor board.
