*shakes fist at all the people that gave you a thumb down*
Grrrrr....
lol
Back to the question, ...
Yes, there are freedoms which i would be willing to curtail.
The freedom to speak without thinking.
I swear to God, there should be a serious penalty for that.
Ignorance is so prevalent in the world that there needs to be some method of prevention.
On a more poltical side, i would say that i would sacrifice all my freedoms if my country was in a state of turmoil and i trusted my leader enough to take care of me.
I guess it's all relative though.
And i'm kind of lost for words at the moment so i may edit this response later on.
But i know that there is one freedom that could never be taken away from me nor curtailed no matter how hard i tried (unless i got a frontal lobotomy)... and it is the freedom of thought.
I like being able to think at all times, no matter what my circumstances are.

Sometimes it is necessary to notice the curtailment of some of the freedoms we have had priveledge to, in order to hold onto the very meaning and idea in what we know of as freedom itself as a whole. We live in a different world now, and as record in history has always proven that all things will most likely evolve, without guarded and shrewd diligence, they may not. You must take it upon yourself as an individual to wisely analyze with the watchful eye, and in so, making it absolutely necessary to be able to envision the long-haul, and the big picture, which IS of our freedoms.
When it does become necessary in curtailing ANYTHING for that matter, by anybody, as these forward-thinking choices of curtailment were made, it should more than likely, coherently, become anybodys free-will in this choice of ability towards any of our freedoms, of any sacrifice, with these visions of the big picture, or consequences of our future and freedoms in mind. I will sacrifice my daily caramel mocha for a few of months, if necessary, to buy an alarm for my small home. But then again, we aren't talking about caramel mochas here, are we? The real question is, what are you willing to sacrifice?

I would be willing to give up my right of privacy to eliminate violent crime. For instance I would be for have having cameras on city streets to record crimes in progress so the criminals could be caught on film and tracked. Also I think every criminal convicted of a felony should be implanted with a chip that is tracked by satellite so that their location can be tracked. If they knew they were being tracked they couldn't commit another crime without it being captured that they were in that location. I'd also give up the right to bear arms to prevent all the needless accidental murders by guns and prevent so many firearms from ending up in the hands of criminals.

My first reaction is to say no, but to be honest I'm really not sure. Freedom is something I value greatly, and I'd have to take each separate one and analyze it fully before coming to a conclusion, which would take a long explanation!
