Yes, if you use the free Tor software bundle (tor, privoxy, vidalia) from here:
http://tor.eff.org/

and install this extension for firefox or mozilla:
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/2275/

You can surf anonymously. Although things will be much slower.

Good luck with it!

Unfortunately, it is not technically possible to always hide the public IP address of a home network. An IP address enables devices to locate and communicate with each other on the Internet. Completely hiding the IP address of a device would render it invisible but also unusable online.
On the other hand, it is possible to hide public IP addreseses from most Internet servers in most situations. This method involves an Internet service called an anonymous proxy server.

You might be able to fake your IP with some software...

But you cannot go on the net without an IP.

I am using two computers...which mean I have two IPs.
When I log into a website with one computer...the website does not recognise me when I log in with the second computer. It creates a lot of confusion.

The only reason you would want to hide your IP is because you are up to no good.

I guess the best is Ghost Surf. They route you through unidentified servers that do not record your IP address. As a result of the indirect routing your web slows down a lot but your IP address is concealed.

I decided it wasn't worth it but if you really want to conceal your identity it works.
