Lacking interest in general could be a number of things: aloof, arrogant, bored, depressed, disappointed, disenchanted, self-absorbed,... An extreme introvert doesn't want to interact with others and takes great measures to be and remain alone. The first is nonchalant about everything and does not care whether they are alone or not. The latter prefers solitude and cares a lot whether they are alone or not.

Possibly. Not necessarily extreme though. It could be depression (light or mild). I have had problems with depression and along with that comes a lack of enthusiasm for the stuff that makes "regular" people excited.
