Why? That's a tough question, especially since we don't know you personally. Have you expolored all the possibilities? How are you usually during the holidays? Has some significant event (loss of loved one, failure with an important goal) happened that you haven't dealt with? ... I had a friend once who said she felt weepy during her 'time of the month' ... You didn't give too many details, so it's kind of hard to eliminate possibilities. Do you know much about depression? If you've had some of the symptoms (there's a link to Wikipedia's article below) then there may be cause for concern. Especially important is how long this has been going on. If you think it's time to do something to change it... (though it is possible the others who answered you are right and it's just part of life and nothing to worry about.) ... I answered a question about suicide in Y!A and you might benefit from it if you're curious about the mental health feild and don't know much about it (the link is below). I forgot a few things in my answer. I forgot about social workers. I think all high schools have them. If you're in college, I there's likely to be a psychologist there. ... Ultimately, you're the only one who knows what's best for you. And people sometimes cry out of happiness, too.
Good luck and happy holidays!!

It's normal. Everyone goes through that. You are not PMSing, it's not because you had a sad life or you are recovering from crack. It's really normal for a person to feel like crying any time. Just know that once you have a good cry you will feel a lot better. Just so you know after a good cry, your eyes will be swollen for about 18 hours. Take care.

PMS! If you watch Christmas movies and they make you cry because the little boy's father came home from the war, or because the little girl finally got that doll she saw in the store window that her mother said they couldn't afford.... you are PMSing. Go ahead and cry. You will feel better!

it's allright for you to cry without any reason at all...
Maybe you just want to let your feelings go out, me too cry once in a while without any reason, and after that I feel relieved...
Also it will cleanse your eyes and removes dirt when you cry,
it benefits you so don't be scared=)
