Hi everyone,I was just wondering if i am the only sabbath fan who actually prefers the post ozzy years over ozzy years in sabbath.I think Dio,Ian Gillan and Tony Martin is way better singers than ozzy.Heaven and hell,born again,eternal idol and headless cross is better than any albums sabbath did with ozzy.In fact the only weak post ozzy sabbath album was seventh star with Glenn Hughes as vocalist.So do anyone else agree that sabbath was better without ozzy?

I think Black Sabbath needed a more raw voice like Ozzy has. A pretty voice like Dio just didnt come across as well for that type of music. However I think its great you enjoy the post Ozzy years. Tony Iommi is the best guitarist on the planet.

I love Glen Hughes...LOL I prefer ozzy with Sabbath but I do like all the singers you named for different reasons...Deep Purple and Rainbow...the only name I am not familiar with is Tony Martin...I will have to check him out...

Mr. says no he doesn't think so. Dio he says has his own albums listen to those if you like him (I have downloaded many of Dio's stuff for him).
He says that in those times there was no heavy metal, you need to think of those times...People like this set the stage and who broke the ice for these new comers. Ozzy was one who set the stage for the others to follow. When you are the first he says you are the first, those who follow are just jumping on the band wagon.
Anyhoo he is saying so much more but my hands only type so fast lol! Mr. was there before and after the hard rock era...

i prefer ozzy. he just had that something that completed black sabbath
