I took 6 pregnancy tests over 6 weeks...ALL came up negative. Not only that, I switched up the brands. Well, then, week 7 came along and it showed up positive...and week 8!! I went to the doctor after that and I was 10 weeks along. So it's a possibility!
Now, I had "morning sickness" from about 8 weeks on. Since all the tests were showing negative, I thought I had the flu so I was on PeptoBismol the whole time (not the best, but I didn't know...and my flow was ALWAYS irregular so that was no indication). Well, anyway...I think I really had morning sickness only part of the time, but I ended up having a reaction to the iron in the vitamins that made me sick the whole time. But at the first part, I was just pretty much nauseas. I would get indigestion afterwards b/c my stomach would be churning...and I wouldn't eat to prevent myself from getting sick.
That's how it was for me, but you're right...make an appointment. They'll be able to do an ultrasound and blood tests, etc.
Good luck!!!

i was so in the same boat!!! i have trouble riding in the car when i'm not pregnant... and now that i'm pregnant, even though i'm in the 2nd trimester, i CAN'T ride with anyone and still feel nauseous even if i drive :(. Try 1/2 a regular strength unisom with 25mg of b6 30 minutes before a car-ride. If this doesn't help ask you dr for a prescription of phenegen, its an amazing drug! but you can't drive while taking it, you will be pretty sleepy, i recommend 1/2 of a 25mg tablet 45 minutes before a car ride, and take the next dose about 30 minutes prior to the next scheduled time if you dr approved. Meaning, if its every 6 hours like mine... take it every 5.5 hours, and you don't have a lapse where you are sick which can create a viscous cycle! If this medication does not work for you, the next thing to try is Zofran or both drugs mixed- if you dr approves!!!! this is unfortunately what i had to do this pregnancy to go anywhere outside my home, a small dose of each medication combined helped me get to/through/from the grocery store.... but i certainly wasn't going out to any restaurants and still at 14 weeks i'm having trouble eating a large variety of foods!

I have one daughter, which I had morn sickness with. Feelings sick was never my first sign. Mine was always my sore breasts. Even though it happened anytime. It started when i was about 6 weeks and the last time was when I was 16 weeks. I felt sick off and on. Depending on the day or what I was doing. Sometimes I could eat huge meals and be fine other days I couldnt eat anything. I threw up as early as after breakfast and as late as 11 pm. I read on this pregnancy site, maybe americanbaby.com, that women have sickness worse in first pregnancies. Because I'm pregnant with number two now and I felt sick for two days maybe but no vomiting like the first. I will gag sometimes when Im eating or brushing my teeth.
I had missed a period one month before I got pregnant with my daughter and the dr said that sometimes women skip periods. I was 6 weeks late once and the dr did an ultrasound and showed me where my period should start anytime and it started a few days later. She said you should be worried when you skip two months because something could be wrong.
Good luck with all that. Hope this helps.

Ive been pregnant 3 times. I have two kids, one miscarriage. But morning sickness sucks. The main thing that was my sign of being pregnant was a strange taste in my mouth, kinda like youve been sucking on metal. Its nasty. But most of the time with morning sickness with me, I use to have what they call "Dry Heving" I think thats how you spell it. But I asked the doctor about it, and she said that it was because their was nothing in my stomach. But every women is different. No pregnancy is the same. Good luck if you are!! Oh and Congratulations Too if you are!!!! I dont know if you have any kids but its a wonderful yet stressful experience.

I was throwing up for the from the beginning of my second month to when I was four months. It was a terrible feeling and I lost 20 pounds because everything I ate came right back up. It was difficult but it was worth it.
