Is it an EU requirement or can I thief proof my car by reversing the steering, would using a LHD rack upside down in an RHD car achieve this

My friend at work once fitted the wrong stering box to a bedford truck and it reversed the steering, sadly the boss would not let him try to steer it before changing it for the proper one

there are nothing in EU regulations or UK laws that says that you cannot . the protocol comes from having the pull the reins of a horse and cart to the right to steer right . I wouldn't try it if i was you, one moment of not thinking and you could end up dead . It would be fun to see a thief's face when he stole it though

i have seen some stupid question but yours is is the best large cranes have opposite lock steering and they are allmost impossible to drive on public roads so are dumper trucks a nice place to put your brain or maybe a match box will do

that may thief proof your car but it may cause a thief to drive it into a pole or something.

you would need to do some major modification but it would be pretty funny watching a thief try and get away.
