I accidentally spilled some water on my LCD laptop screen this morning. How can I get the water out without disassembling it? Can I use a blow dryer or a fan? and is it safe to leave my computer on?

If you have water in your system you need to turn the systems off disconnect from power, remove the battery and hope the water does not get into anything important. dry as thoroughly as you can and orient your computer so that water drains away from the body of the computer. Leave the computer to dry completely 48 hrs before checking if it works... good luck.

first, take the battery out and dry off all of the terminals on both the battery and the laptop. after that, with a clean cloth, wipe down the laptop as much as possible, if for chance u have acident protection waranty, send it to the company and let them do the work under waranty cost, if not, call the company and see if there's something that should be done to it. if there is, take it to a local computer repair shop to get any work done. it will be far cheaper this way. good luck.

i'm surprised the system is still running. i say leave the computer off for a while and try to let it dry out. do NOT use a blow dryer(heat will damage fragile components). a heatless fan might work, but it will take a long time. i say let it dry out on its own and try to keep from using it for a while. if you need it dried right away, take it to a computer repair shop and have them dry it out for you.

You cant, even if you try to dry it out, it instanly damages the screen. Being LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) It imediately ruins it and heating it would actually make it multiple times worse. Depending on the damage it probalby isnt even worth fixing if its not that much.

It would be best to just let it dry out and hope no damage occurs.
