That is not true. The truth is there are some stupid questions and people are not always cognizant of the fact that their questions sound annoying to others.

A person who desires knowledge is stupid? I don't think so. If it's just you're teacher trying to avoid answering questions, he certainly is not doing his job. And if he is indeed not a fan of stupid people, he most certainly is not helping the stupid problem, is he?

I would never call someone stupid, maybe an idiot. LOL. All kidding aside, we all have a separate level of communication and education based on experiences. I'm 35, I can't speak for anyone younger or older than me though.
