Well, Juventina I don't like Barcelona too but I have to accept that they deserve to be the club of the year since they have won both the Champions League and the Spanish League and that's very hard to achieve. Every team, even the best one sometimes wins and sometimes looses, I'm personally happy they lost and I agree Barcelona isn't actually the best team but this year's achievement still remain.

@ MJ Italy lost to France right after the WC cuz they played with the 3rd team and it doesnt matter it wasnt the WORLD CUP FINALE.

Are you joking me? Internacional plays exceptionally well and they were a tough competitor for Barca...especially since Barca doesn't have Eto'o or Messi (they're best strikers)....Barca is still World team of the Year despite this defeat...they can't win 'em all!! Just let me know how Italy does in Euro Cup....then you can talk.

Well it's not Internacional cause they can't even win the Brazilian Championship, and not Chelsea because they lost to Barça, and not Lyon coz they lost to Milan and not Milan coz they lost to barça and not arsenal coz they lost to barça, and not real madrid coz they didn't even win the spanish championship and not sao paulo coz they lost the final to internacional. In the end no team is unbeatable, so you gotta choose.

That loss was very recent. But now you must also take into account their other accomplishments for that year. They won the 05/06 La Liga which is the league they play in. Not only that, but they also won the UEFA Champions League, which is considered to be the highest honor a club can receive by winning.

Italy lost to Croatia and France without cannavaro and nesta. Anyway, Barcelona shouldn't have but they would beat any WC squad besides the following...
Brazil
Italy
Argentina
France...with Zidane
Portugal

I agree with you, normally the European top teams take longer to settle to their style of play than South American team because they were paid millions more than the opponents!

Barca lost to Internacional without Eto'o and Messi !!!!! The only difference is that Inter is the best Brazilian club, when Croatia is average European team!!!
