Help please....?

Now...my last period was sep.22 06. i figured two weeks past that is when i would have ovulated. And another 1 to two weeks when my baby implanted. Making me two weeks pregnant in the first week of october. Add five weeks to that...and that would make me between 7 and 8 weeks along now? Correct me if i'm wrong...because i'm kind of going through a crisis right now. We figured all this time that i was 11 weeks. But on a sonogram friday they only measured my baby at 6 to 7 weeks along. If thats so and i am supposed to be 11 wks along. That would mean my baby died around 4 to 5 weeks ago. I won't know for sure until this next friday. This will be a week from hell. So i'm just trying to figure out if this could really have all just been a mix up. Thanks for your comments

Did they give you an ultrasound after a miscarriage or are you assuming that since the baby is smaller than you/they thought that you must've miscarried?...cause I kept good track of my periods and my date was pushed back three weeks after early ultrasound...I thought origionally my baby was due this week but I have three whole weeks left now...doesn't mean anything died...just that your uterus is smaller than the dates you are thinking...if they saw a heartbeat...did they see a heartbeat? Your question may not have gotten answers cause it is confusing...

If your last period is Sept 22...they start counting from that date...so you shouldn't have missed a period until October 22nd...so you should be 12 weeks pregnant...now that I have done the math I see what you thought

I had a similar situation in my very 1st pregnancy (I've been pregnant 4 times, with 2 live births)...I found out at 6 weeks that I was pregnant, saw the baby on ultrasound, went back in at 11 weeks, and the baby had died at 7 weeks. My body did not pass or miscarriage & I ended up having a D&C. Prepare yourself for the worst, but expect the best. You might have just done the math wrong. It's hard to tell when something actually takes place. My best goes to you...and, even though you don't know me, I'm always an email away to vent or cry or talk through it.

First of all you sound like you know what you are talking about but it is possible that you didn't ovulate then if you were just guestimating because ovulating is tricky unless you are keeping very close track and even then you can ovulate unexpectedly, during your period, twice in a month, late or early. Two it is possible you ovulated twice and it pushed you period back making the baby up to five weeks younger than you thought. Good Luck. I'll keep you in my thoughts this week.

There are some great links out there that will help you keep from worrying. My daughter is also expecting around the same time as you would be. Why are you worried the baby died? There are two ways of determining how 'far along' a person is. Take all your questions to your doctor and don't worry. Here is one of the links we are using.
