I live in a big house and there is one room where I don't want there to be access to the internet for personal reasons.

I have a modem where I have a router and 3 PC's but I suspect another modem being used with a laptop that is being hidden from me.

It would have to be connected to the TV cable and same isp. Is there a way to track it?

All you should need to do is call your ISP. Somebody has to pay for every modem in use and it's s/n has to be registered at the ISP.
You can hook up any number of routers to a modem in a daisy chain but every modem will get charged to someone......unless a wireless signal is penetrating the home and the laptop is wireless capable.
Good luck

If you secure your routers, you won't have this problem. You can enable MAC address filtering. This allows you full control of who has access to your internet services.

If you look at the router logs, you can see who has been using your router.

I don't know why you wouldn't know about your own modems, but netscan is a free app. that will tell you everything on your network computers, printers, modems, ect.
