I am sending a gift & want to find out the best way to send it. I have never shipped an item like this, and am wondering what size box to use, if the coat should be laid out flat, or if it is ok to fold. Also, should I insure it; it is a nice and expensive coat. Thanks!

Use UPS. Get a sturdy box, fold the coat just like a new shirt would be folded, tape the box with packaging tape, not scotch tape, and address the box clearly. If the coat has a value greater than $100.00, buy the additional insurance. UPS insures all packages they ship, at no charge, up to a $100.00. If you have a claim, which is highly unlikely, you'll need to produce a receipt to substantiate the value of the coat. They're quick, reliable and you can track your package during shipping on-line.

There are UPS shipping points in large metropolitan areas and all Staples stores are UPS shippers. Staples won't charge you a handling charge for preparing your package ... their cost is exactly what UPS would charge you at their depots!

Well our president has now allied with Mexico in pointing out battle on Arizona. So it sort of feels transparent that the states are actually on their possess. I bet every will must come to a decision wherein they stand in this trouble in view that Obama has taken the binds that bind the union in combination and thrown them within the rubbish. Yes, neither social gathering has a well monitor list on doing whatever approximately immigration. They all speak hard and do not anything. But that is the primary time I've visible an American president become a member of forces with a international govt in condemning a state that he's intended to symbolize and safeguard.

Ground shipping is the least costly. A coat isn't fragile.. Can use postal system..or fed ex, DHL all will have ins. available and Fed ex will ship in what ever box you bring in.. Would just use news paper or maybe some kind of plastic bag just to keep coat from getting scuffs.

Go down to the Post Office and ask to have it shipped USPS Flat Rate Priority! It will cost you like $8 if you can fit it into their box.

Use the ups, they do a terrific job. Do not insure it because it will get there, ups has little problems with lost packages.

GreyHound will do it.

Just buy a regular ticket and give a homeless guy $20 to wear it out there for you!
