Aren't they suppose to be a democracy, and wouldn't this be the democratic thing to do?

Yes, that might be a good idea. However, our leader would never allow it as current Iraqi polls show 70% of Iraqis want the American forces to leave.

Why would Bush want to start listening to the Iraqis now? He won't change anything all the way to leaving office, sadly. Ellen is a voice of reason and Bush would do anything to discredit her to the general public. The Iraqis tell us everyday to leave, whether it is in polls, or in fighting us door to door, but that does not fit into the Bush paradigm.

They elected leaders to make this decision. They have a representative democracy as do we.

I question what Bush would do if Maliki said..."GET THE HELL OUT OF MY COUNTRY AND TAKE YOUR ARMIES WITH YOU"..........( might be the best thing ,yet..)
