With me it's decks of cards from wherever I can con people into getting me a deck from. Never use em, just collect em.
What do you collect that you never plan to use, just add to?

Cruet sets, I have about a hundred.
I need a set for my meals, but have to buy one, cause I won't touch my unusual ones!

I am trying to accumulate one of everything.
I too like playing cards, and one branch of that particular collection consists of FOUND single cards -- hoping to make a full deck before I finally cash in my chips.
In my vast experience as a collector of trifles, unconsidered or not, there is one significant constant : it is very easy to buy, but incredibly difficult to sell virtually any item you care to mention.
What is the value of an article?

Sometimes I think I am a collector of general junk, much like Steptoe and Son without the bones (An old radio show on BBC 7). I do use the stuff, however.

I collect shoes...I try to wear each pair at least once...but I must admit there are some I have not worn. I have about 14 pairs at this time, but I have had upwards of about 24 pairs. I love Vans, army surplus boots, flip flops, and sexy stilettos.

I collect 'Cherished Teddies'. Friends and family buy them for me and each one has a special meaning. I am going to have to collect a new cabinet now to keep them all in. Happy collecting ! !

I collect rhino paraphernalia (Hence my handle name). Stuff like stuffed animals, figurines, T-Shirts, fridge magnets, etc.
