i would say if you want a change, try contacts first. if you dont mind those, go for it. i hear that laser (since i was looking into it) can deplete and age with you, so its not a foolproof thing. i wouldnt want to spend a lot of money for something that isnt gonna last.

My husband began wearing glasses when he was 9 and had laser surgery in May, he is now 34. He's says it's the best thing he has ever done for himself. No more worries over his glasses getting broke, screws coming loose, etc. He now sees 20/15. It is best that you and the laser doctor discuss what is best for you and your situation since laser is not for everyone. Best of luck to you.

I would maybe try using contacts because you are maybe to young for lasik surgery. If you do get contacts, they are great because they have disposable ones that you can take out each night and put in new ones in the morning. There are pairs of contacts that you can just have for a couple of weeks and then dispose of them. Some contacts you can even sleep with them in. I will if I were you talk to someone that has actually had it or go to this web site at the bottom.

Your eye doctor should determine first if you are a good candidate for laser surgery. Not everyone can be a candidate for vision correction surgery. You should try contacts first if you are tired of glasses.

I would ask the doctor. I think Lazar surgery is fantastic, and better than having to deal with the glasses or contact lenses.

While, as noted above, it's best for your doctor to decide if surgery is right for you...I will also add that my husband lost his glasses constantly (almost daily!) and couldn't stand the thought of contacts. Even if it's not a "Forever" fix, if you think about the cost of glasses, it's worth it! :-)
