It’s 18 in every state unless you’ve been emancipated in some manner or you have parental permission and it’s a safe and appropriate environment.

This depends on the situation. Usually it is 18. Occasionally it is 16 or 17, but that's not terribly often. If your parents give the other adult power of attorney or guardianship over you, they can do it the day you are born. It really depends on the situation. Give some more facts, and I can give you a much better answer.

The legal age is 16 in Minnesota. Minnesotans are experts at accepting responsibilty and being the best state in the USA!!!!!

By the way, since 1997, Minnesota has been ranked #1 for best state to live in! Can you tell that we are arrogant? We are simply proud of it!

In Cali, its 18. Before that, you either have to have permission from your parents, or be emancipated.
