Why does Oprah Winfrey think she is all that?

I don't know why anybody watches her show. Lame. Does she get sick of seeing herself on her mag every month? I do.

First of all, you don't get to be successful in the public eye unless you have a very healthy self esteem. That being said, Oprah IS all that because she does a lot of good programs. She focuses a lot on helping people in war-torn countries in Africa and is setting up a school for girls in South Africa. It is helpful that she is focusing attention on the world's real problem and not just the latest soap opera saga. Oprah's very confident and she is cool.

Do I sense some hate in the air? Oprah is a rich, powerful, independent, and educated black woman who has worked her way from pennies to billions. From a local TV/radio reporter to a publically nationwide TV host of HARPO Production. She gives and gives. She makes real life stories be acknowledged. She educates her audience. She roles with the best of people. So I think she has the right to act any way she wants to. Oprah is at a stage in her life where she doesn't care what people think of her, and I don't blame her. Life is too short to be doing anything other than enjoying yourself and making the world a better place. Can I get an Amen!!

Well if you could give me a legitimate reason as to why you believe Oprah think she's all that I just might agree with you. I have not seen her "act like she was all that" yet. Yes, so she makes millions, she worked for every penny and she has the right to act all that if she wanted to but she doesn't. She gives so much money to different organizations you wouldn't believe. If her being confident in what she does and gets paid millions for make her seem like she all that then you may as well say it about EVERYONE who has money. I think people only talk about her and accuse her of things such as this just because they do not like her. No one can make you like her but pointing out things that are just not legitimate at all is just ridiculous and pointless.

Beats the hell out of me....she was so "real"and appealing when she first started her show, but since making so much money and having her picture on every issue of her magazine, I think she has become very full of herself...yes, she does alot for many, but she makes damn sure that we all know that she does...why can't she do these good deeds anonymously? It's all about "her best friend Gayle", "what her favorite things are" and now she thinks she is a therapist...get over yourself Oprah, we loved you when you were a bit more humble...

Because she's self-absorbed and one of the most powerful women in Hollywood, due to her wealth. This gives her an "I think I'm all that" free ticket to act anyway she wants too. Unfortunately, it's people like us that gave her the big head she's wearing. Devoted fans don't see her true persona, they think she's the best thing since fried chicken. I used to like her, when she was still humble and unaffected by her rising fame. I thought she was a great role model especially for those of ethnicity, but NOW... she's basically intolerable.
