Okay, this really goes back to what was known as the "kayfabe" days of wrestling when wrestling was presented as a "real contest" (even though it wasn't). The terms "face" & "heel" were terms that the "marks" (wrestling fans) were generally unaware of..they were part of a vernacular that those in the business used. Yes, a face was the "good guy"....generally these were the more cleancut looking wrestlers...they were the "babyfaces"..babyface later was shortened to "face". You have a "hero", ya gotta have a villian or as we call 'em, "heels". When a heel turns into a face that is called a "faceturn"...when a face decides to become a villian, that is a "heelturn". In todays product, heels and faces are not so easily identified and many walk a line between the two. I work for an indy promotion in Texas, I've always worked face, but you never know....

In specialist wrestling, a heel is a villain personality.[a million] In non-wrestling jargon, heels are the "undesirable adult men" in professional wrestling storylines. they're typically adverse by technique of a babyface or more beneficial merely, face (crowd in demand). some tweeners coach heel mannerisms. Heels are often portrayed as behaving in an immoral way, breaking guidelines or otherwise taking income of their fighters outside of the limitations of the guidelines of the adventure. Others do no longer (or infrequently) destroy guidelines, yet coach unlikeable personality features. no count the style of heel, the biggest activity is that of the antagonist position. Heels exist to provide a foil to the face wrestlers. If a given heel is cheered over the face, a promoter would opt for as an example that heel to face, or to make the wrestler do some thing even more beneficial despicable to encourage heel warmth. In specialist wrestling, a face or babyface is a personality who's portrayed as heroic relative to the heel wrestlers, who're analogous to villains.[a million] no longer each and everything a face wrestler does could be heroic: faces favor in effortless words to be cheered by technique of the target market to be effective characters. almost all of wrestling storylines position a heel adverse to a face.

A face is a good guy and is a fan favorite so the crowd cheers them on.For example dx and the hardy boys is a fan favorite because they are babyface or you can just say face.
A heel is a bad guy and does things to oppose the fans so they get booed by the fans. The heels are also there to make the good guys look good. For example rated rko and the spirit squad are heels

A babyface is someone who plays to the crowd that is good.
A heel is someone who is a rule breaker and that cheats to win.

A face is the part of your body with a nose on it. Please note that the heel does not have a nose on it. I know it has toes and it rhymes, but it's not the same. Trust me on this.
