YES! If I eat anything spicy or acidic I get heartburn. I carry tums around where ever I go. I actually take them before I eat something that I know will trigger heartburn. Then I take them after too. Don't lie down when you have HB. One night it was really bad and I ate a bowl of vanilla ice cream. That was very helpful. But the best thing to do is avoid the trigger foods.

How Can I Reduce Heartburn Symptoms Without Hurting My Baby?
To reduce heartburn without hurting you baby, you should try the following:
Eat several small meals each day instead of three large ones.
Eat slowly.
Avoid fried, spicy or rich foods, or any foods that seem to cause relaxation of the lower esophageal sphincter and increase the risk of heartburn.
Drink less while eating. Drinking large amounts while eating may increase the risk of acid reflux and heartburn.
Don't lie down directly after eating.
Keep the head of your bed higher than the foot of your bed. Or place pillows under your shoulders to help prevent stomach acids from rising into your chest.
Ask your doctor about using medications such as Tums or Maalox, which are generally safe to use during pregnancy. You may find that liquid heartburn relievers are more effective in treating heartburn as they coat the esophagus.
Wear lose-fitting clothing. Tight-fitting clothes can increase the pressure on your stomach and abdomen.
If your heartburn persists, see your doctor. He or she may prescribe medications that are safe to take during pregnancy. Heartburn usually disappears following childbirth.
also try Tums thats what i take and im 31 weeks pregnant!!
good luck!!!!

My OB said Tums, Rolaids, or Mylanta (keep it in the 'fridge) are the things to try first. (They don't work for a lot of people, though.)
Next step, with your doctor's permission, is over-the-counter Zantac. My OB let me have 150mg twice a day. (It didn't work, either, eventually.)
Then she prescribed Prevacid. Problem solved.
If you continue to have problems with heartburn, and none of the over-the-counter solutions work for you, definitely ask for a prescription.

Only tums are truly safe for the baby. I was pregnant a few times and every doctor I had all said the same thing. Tums

When I was pregnant, I ate Tums like they were candy. I had heartburn all the time. It was not fun.

I was told by my ob that Rolaids are safe, but double check with your doctor because they change things all the time.

do not take rolaids, they have aluminum in them and can make your baby sick. Instead take Tums, since they are mostly calcium and calcium is a natural heart burn reliever.
