anywhere from a sentence (for when you are making a transisional paragraph, or for opening and closing sentences if you have everything you need) to 40 sentences. there is no really limit, it just matters about your content and if it flows with where you cut your paragraph off. a sentence is a thought and a paragraph is a mini topic that is apart of the whole report.

A paragraph can technically be just one sentence, but in high school the teachers wanted 4-5 sentences.

Depends on whether you are talking about the rather weird regimented requirements of American education, or real life.

In actual fact a paragraph can be anything from one word upwards.

The point of dividing work into paragraphs is that each one encompasses a particular thought or viewpoint. When the thought or viewpoint changes, you start a new paragraph.

Regimenting the expression of thought in this way is in my own personal opinion nonsensical and destructive to originality.

There's really no standard. Just make sure that you get your point across.

A paragraph can be six sentences long and have no meaning, but it could also be three sentences long and pack a whopping punch.

If you get your point across effectively, it shouldn't matter to the teacher how long it is.

I hope this helped!

Generally, as long as you have good information in each paragraph, it doesn't matter, but it should be at least 7 sentences in my opinion
