hi who knows how many days off during the Xmas and New Year in America?

it varies, some businesses give Christmas eve and day off and new years day,,, others dont, children in schools usually get out of class a about a week before Christmas and return a few days after New Years,,, colleges have more time off then that, from early December to around the week after New Years,,,,

Depends on the company, truly. A lot will give the day of the holiday and the day before off; thought some onf the larger companies allow for their executives a full period of time starting the day before Christmas through the day after New years off. (My spouse use to work for a branch of his company that did that.)
However, some companies do not allow for a day off at all.
