the leaf blower. instead of quietly sweeping your leaves and debris into an easily manageable pile which you can then pick up and dispose of, it creates an ear-splitting noise and blows leaves, grit and dirt willy-nilly. you dont get rid of the leaves, you just scatter them into the gutter. they're also a hazard if you happen to walk past someone using one; you have to make sure you shut your eyes or you'll get sharp bits in them.
