I have an associates degree in paralegal and i am working on B.A in criminal justice but I want to have a "plan B" just incase I can't get a criminal justice related job. I am considering studying for the real estate exam in Illinois. Is getting licensed in real estate a good idea or a huge waste of time.?I want to work and I am tired of low wage **** jobs.

Its not a waste of time at all. You may like working as a Realty Agent and you could potentially earn big money- with lots of hard work, luck, trials and tribulations. If you decide against working in the field of RE- the knowledge you acquire will only be beneficial anyway.

not a waste, any education is good and a degree is better. even if you don't go into real estate at least you'll have a degree and that means more to some than what the actual degree is for.
