One time I showed up at work with a quilt I had designed and made for my friend's baby shower. One of my co-workers said she had an idea for a quilt and wondered if I could make it for her. Or what about other talents? My sister was always schmoozing with the salespeople who come into my dad's business where she works, and she ended up bathing dogs for some of them. Do you have any interest in writing? I notice a lot of writing freelance jobs on the "etc" page on www.craigslist.org. If you like to write, you might make some cash by doing these freelance jobs. It won't make you rich, but some of them seem pretty decent and it doesn't matter where you live as long as you can meet a deadline.
