What is real love? How would you know it is real?

For me this is real love:
You get a call from the emergency room saying the person you love has been in a car accident and that you should come to the hospital right away. You finally arrive and see that persons eyes open, looking at you, scared, terrified and unable to move their legs or arms. The doctors tell you that the spine has been severed. Your life flashes before your eyes, you realize that from that point on they will need help toileting, feeding, wiping their mouth, dressing, having accidents, and totally dependent for most things. For a moment, you want to run, its too much, but you dont, for that person is your heart. This is love, the ultimate love. Goose bumps and sex and easy times are reflective of emotions other than love. Love is knowing that no matter what, your life is with that person till the day one of you passes.

Sorry, didnt mean to sound so gloom. But this devotion is what real love is-in my eyes.

Real love is definitely something that is rare these days. Sadly I must say that it is dieing. Real love is what kept our grandparents together 20 yrs, real love knows no boundaries, real love is loving someone unconditionally no matter what they can or cant do for you or if they may have a few flaws. So how will you know if you have found true love? Trust me, when it hits you, then you will know for sure. The feeling is unmistakable. The real question is, "how will you know if the other person is your true love and if they feel the same way about you?"
